Why have I included musings about topics that are not typically associated with spaces about teaching? Why have I made it personal? Well, despite what our students may think, we are human and our lives outside of school matter. We should not feel ashamed to have interests and passions outside of the classroom.
Also, in order to continuously improve professionally and be the best that we can be in inside the classroom, we need to take time out and take interest in other things outside the classroom. Of course, discussing staff well-being issues in schools is important and will be addressed.
I want to share what interests me and hopefully inspire you to think about what you need to do outside of the classroom so you can be a little better inside it.
